Our Seven Core Beliefs

We believe in one God, Creator of All, expressed as three distinct persons - The Father, The Son, & The Holy Spirit (Deuteronomy 6:4; Genesis 1:1; Matthew 28:19).

We believe humanity is separated from God because of sin, and is therefore in need of salvation from our wretched condition (Genesis 3:6-24; Romans 6:23; Romans 5:6-9).

We believe in the work of the Son, Jesus Christ, who - as God - became a man by means of virgin birth to offer Himself as the only way to be saved by a sacrificial death and resurrection on the third day after His death (John 1:14; Luke 1:34-35; John 2:19; John 3:14-16; John 12:32; Matthew 28:1-6). After His work on earth, Jesus ascended to heaven to be the Intercessor of those who receive His message of salvation, and He is poised to return to receive His beloved unto Himself at the resurrection of the just, and to establish universal peace through His eternal reign and the subjugation of His enemies (Acts 1:9-11; Romans 8:34; Hebrews 7:25-26; John 5:28-29; Psalm 110:1-7; Isaiah 9:6-7).

We believe that the only way to be saved from our wretched condition and eternal damnation is by faith in the full work of Jesus Christ (John 14:6; Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 3:24-25). Those who are saved will demonstrate works in keeping with repentance (James 2:17, 26).

We believe in the full ministry of the Holy Spirit who regenerates believers (Titus 3:5), places the regenerated into the Body of Christ (the Church) (1 Corinthians 12:13), endows the regenerated with gifts (1 Corinthians 12:4-11), assists them in their prayers (Romans 8:26-27), testifies of Jesus Christ (John 15:26) guides them into truth (John 16:13) and produces fruit evincing of His presence in the believer (Galatians 5:22-23).

We believe the Bible is the only inspired, fully irrefutable, and infallible written revelation of God (2 Peter 1:20-21). A believer is nourished and enabled to grow by the study and application of the truths of the Bible (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

We believe the Church is the Body of Jesus Christ of which all believers are members by means of spiritual rebirth (Ephesians 1:22-23, 2:19). The Church serves as the habitation of the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 2:22), provides for the growth of its members by means of worship, instruction, equipping for service, discipline, and fellowship, (Acts 2:46-47; Ephesians 4:11-12; Matthew 18:15-20), is responsible for making disciples (Matthew 28:19-20), and dispenses the sacraments of Baptism and Communion as our Lord instructed (Matthew 28:19; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26).

Statement of Faith

The statement of faith does not exhaust the extent of our beliefs. The Bible itself, as the inspired and infallible Word of God that speaks with final authority concerning truth, morality, and the proper conduct of mankind, is the sole and final source of all that we believe. For purposes of Victory Christian Fellowship's (VCF's) faith, doctrine, practice, policy, and discipline, the Pastor in conjunction with the elder body is VCF's final interpretive authority on the Bible's meaning and application.

Statement of the Sanctity of Human Life

We believe that all human life is sacred and created by God in His image. Human life is of inestimable worth in all its dimensions, including pre-born babies, the aged, the physically or mentally challenged, and every other stage or condition from conception through natural death. We are therefore called to defend, protect and value all human life. (Psalm 139).

Marriage Policy

Because God has ordained marriage and defined it as the covenant relationship between a man, a woman, and Himself, Victory Christian Fellowship (VCF) will only recognize marriages between a biological man and a biological woman. Further, the pastors and staff of VCF shall only participate in weddings and solemnize marriages between one man and one woman. Finally, the facilities and property of VCF shall only host weddings between one man and one woman. (Genesis 1:26-27; Genesis 2:18-25; 1 Corinthians 6:18, 7:25; Hebrews 13:4; Matthew 15:18-20; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10).
